With the modernisation of the global telephone and data networks, video conferencing has started to filter down to small to medium-sized businesses whereas, in the past, it has only been accessible to 'big business'.
Video conferencing is available in two ways on AVAYA IP Office – either through a video soft phone that can be deployed to any extension user on the system or by deploying a more sophisticated Scopia solution.
Scopia has been developed over many years by Radvision, whom AVAYA acquired back in 2013.
Scopia's state of the art video conferencing systems offer room system deployment as well as video participation with smart phones, PC's tablets and any 3rd party around the world.
Easy to use Video Conferencing
One of the key things that we think is great about Scopia is how easy it is to use. Any Scopia user can email a link to anyone in the world - they merely click the link and they are connected (a little bit like Face Time on Apple devices) - they need a web cam or smart phone of course!
The video below show's you how the Scopia desktop software looks when in a conference - it actually shows that AVAYA employee's have a sense of humour! Well the British ones anayway!
Video conferencing using a Smart Phone
And just to redress the balance, here is a video from our AVAYA firends in the US! On a serious note, it shows you how the AVAYA Scopia mobile application looks and works - we have used it here in the office and we have to say it works really well as long as you have a good wi-fi connection.
