The award-winning IP Office system from AVAYA is a hybrid system which means that you have a choice of which type of technology you can deploy – Digital, IP, SIP or analogue. You can also choose between fixed desk phones or cordless phones.

You can also use a soft phone on a PC or laptop, an Apple iPad or tablet – you can even use your mobile or home phone as your extension. So there is an AVAYA phone option to suit everyone!

Here we focus on the common handsets that we supply on a daily basis to customers just like you. There are add-on modules available for each of the handsets to provide more programmable one-touch buttons.

Digital phones

There are two ranges of digital phones on IP Office . You can choose from either the entry-level 1400 series phones (AVAYA 1403, 1408 or 1416) or the more expensive 9500 series (AVAYA 9504 and 9508 – self labelling keys with no paper labels). See our dedicated Digital Phone page in the sub menu.

IP Phones

There are also two ranges of IP phones. You can choose from the entry-level 1600 series handsets of the more expensive 9600 series. The AVAYA 1608 and AVAYA 9608G phones tend to be most people's choice.

The 9600 series of IP phones should be used for most customers in our opinion as they have self-labelling keys (no paper labels). This range is made up of the following IP phones: AVAYA 9608G, 9611G, 9621G and the 9641G. The AVAYA 9621G and 9641G are the very latest touch screen IP phones for AVAYA IP Office.

Analogue Phones

AVAYA do brand a couple of analogue phones – the Gemini Basic 9330AV and the Gemini 9335 AV with a display.

Cordless phones

There are several AVAYA DECT phone options available to provide mobility within an office including IP Dect, SIP Dect and Wi-fi. We would always normally recommend IP DECT.

Hotel Phones

AVAYA make a speciality Hotel phone designed for hospitality businesses – the 9281 AV.

Reception Phones

Any of the normal digital or IP phones can be used by a receptionist and these can be enhanced by adding add-on modules.

However, on IP Office, there is a specialist reception solution called Receptionist – this is a Microsoft Windows PC Client that resides on a PC and is suitable for a busy reception with demanding feature requirements.

Conference Phones

AVAYA provide 3 different audio conferencing phones: the AVAYA B149, B159 and B179

Soft Phones

IP Office has several softphone options including PC, Apple Mac and Flare for iPad.

The Windows softphone also allows video calling with other soft phone users.
