Refurbishment

Our bespoke refurbishment services include the following stages;

Building Works – Alterations to a building could create a space suited to twenty first century working. This may be an opportunity for the landlord upgrading a demise or for a tenant wishing to make improvements. A landlord may offer a favourable rent free period in lieu of such improvements. Any significant works will require an architect and or a structural engineer. Create a room, add a door or window. Indeed, remove a wall and enlarge a space. Buildings use change with time and buildings need to be adapted for change. 

Welfare Facilities – Often neglected and in poor condition and not a great endorsement of an organisation. Contemporary design and fittings can make a bold statement and say a lot about a business. Be aware of the minimum requirement for the number of toilets and urinals for a given number of staff and the need to provide for the disabled.

Staff Rooms – A good idea is to provide a ‘break out’ area where can relax, it’s important to separate work from rest. A comfortable environment with soft seating as well as tables and chairs. Facilities for drinks and food preparation could include a boiling water tap, expressos machine, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Contemporary kitchen units with a contrasting brightly coloured glass plash back are recommended. Often due to time restrictions or geographical location staff will be in the office all day, so it is important to provide for rest and relaxation.

Receptions – The all-important first impression, your reception will say a lot about your organisation. Receptions can include formal meeting and informal break out areas using conventional tables and chairs as well as contemporary soft seating. A bespoke reception could incorporate imagery and logos and introduce corporate branding with repeated elements throughout the rest of the offices providing a corporate look and feel. Boardrooms – Image and functionally are two key considerations. Position off reception and near welfare facilities. A quality conventional veneer table and matching meeting chairs oozes a certain gravitas. With contemporary veneers, table shapes, base options and IT provision a quality boardroom table will sets the tone for high level meetings. Add a feature wall and some creative lighting and you will have a special room.
