Sales prospector position

We are intending to embark on the search for a new business sales prospector during 2013.

Prospecting for sales opportunities and selling are two different skills.

Having gained the vast majority of our business over the last 20 years from referrals and enquiries, we are now considering opening up a new role within our company for the right individual (this is not currently being advertised).

This person will be a 'prospector' and will gain satisfaction from 'the thrill of the chase'. This person will be a self-starter and will probably have some tele-marketing experience although this may not be necessary as full training will be provided. This person will also relish the old-fashioned approach of canvassing in the form of 'door to door' canvassing and prospecting although a carefully targetted approach will be adopted. This person will be a hard-worker with the hunger and ambition to improve their financial position and establish themselves as a long-term team member with a rewarding career.

We may initially consider a part-time or sub-contracted position depending on the individual although ideally this would progress into a full and well-paid position which will be performance-related. Our sales people are some of the best and most experienced in the industry so conversion rates of leads and therefore commission rates will be attractive.

First Office Systems are located in Tunbridge Wells and have been established for 20 years. We are a British Standards Registered firm with an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. We provide technically demanding telecommunications systems and premium service & support. We are always interested in hearing from an aspiring individual who has experience of installing and supporting Avaya, Mitel and Samsung business telephone systems in Kent and Sussex. Technicians or engineers with specific manufacturer accreditations and experience preferred. A good knowledge LAN, WAN and IP Networking essential. Note - a reasonable amount of AVAYA IP Office configuration and programming experience is essential. Working for a successful and friendly company the candidate will enjoy a pleasant working environment with staff and customers. Salary will dependent on competencies and experience.
