Copiers, printers and scanners – Multi-functional devices that copy, print, scan, fax and e-mail

Your business relies on good quality tools in the office and copiers are no exception. As far as copying documents is concerned, you will need a solution that produces copies from a scale of satisfactory to the highest quality (depending on your business).

Even if your business does not have to produce the highest quality of documents, due to the competitive world, you will need to achieve certain standards.

Not only that - as well as copying documents, like most businesses, you will probably have a need to print documents as well as scan, email and fax documents.

In recent years, the trend has been to use a certain device for each solution - traditionally copiers (or photocopiers as we used to call them) to copy, a printer to print, a scanner to scan, a fax to fax and a computer to e-mail.

This approach is fragmented and rather out-dated as you now have the opportunity of using  multi-functional devices (known as MFD copiers) to solve all those issues in one solution - using these types of copiers provides real business benefits as you are doing more with less and in a more efficient manner.

Of course, you need not have a device that does everything - but it is becoming more and more common. Indeed, nearly every customer that we install a copier for, has a printing option with it. And it becomes very attractive once you start adding the various multi-functional elements.

For instance, when you install a 40 page per minute copier, if you add a print option, it becomes a 40 page per minute printer. If you obtained a separate 40 ppm printer, this would be expensive, particularly when you consider your new machine will also print A3 as well as A4 and print on both sides of the paper....and maybe print in colour. Such copiers may even have finishing options such as stapling or saddle stitching.

You should know something else about MFD Copiers which set them apart from, say an HP laser printer......you will pay a fixed price per print regardless of your toner usage per page and you will experience (from us) a 2 hour response to fault calls once you have called our Service and Support centre in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Now this is very attractive when you compare it to the HP printer that comes with an HP support pack (you ring a call centre abroad) and where you replenish the toners based on your usage of toner per page - this can get very expensive and is not great for the environment - not a good option when you compare this to multi-functional copiers.

Importantly, we realise that the copies and prints you produce on your office copiers need to be of the highest quality.
